President Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to building bridges with nations that share similar values and aspirations, particularly regarding the development of a more prosperous and secure future. Both leaders discussed various aspects of the bilateral relationship, focusing on key areas such as trade, investment, advanced technology, renewable energy, climate action, and food security. Their conversation reflected a shared ambition to expand cooperation in these fields to drive global progress and stability.

In a significant moment of reflection, His Highness recalled a 1974 meeting between the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and a team from NASA who briefed him on the Apollo program. He noted how the partnership has flourished since then, culminating in the UAE’s involvement with NASA’s Gateway mission, the first space station around the moon.

President Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed that the UAE and US share a deep-rooted friendship and strategic alliance, built on mutual trust and shared interests. The leaders also discussed pressing regional and global issues, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. His Highness praised the mediation efforts of the US, Egypt, and Qatar in working toward a ceasefire and a solution to the conflict.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to expanding cooperation on regional peace and stability. His Highness expressed gratitude for President Biden’s efforts to broker peace and underscored the UAE’s ongoing support for diplomatic solutions to crises in the Middle East. The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials from the UAE, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States.
